We are now looking for a Finance Controlling Specialist to join our Close & Control Team, supporting the Italian market. This is an exciting opportunity to deepen your expertise in financial controlling while gaining international exposure in a global pharma leader.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership of financial controlling activities for a European commercial entity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IFRS and SOX requirements.

  • Lead the period-end close process, including analytical reviews and preparation of reporting packs.

  • Present and discuss monthly results directly with the local Finance Director, acting as a trusted business partner.

  • Perform account analysis, review journals, and execute internal controls to maintain financial integrity.

  • Work closely with colleagues across Finance, including Planning & Forecasting Analysts, Regional Controllers, and the GSK Operations Centre.

  • Review high-risk reconciliations, assess balance sheet health, and proactively manage risks and open items.

  • Support local statutory reporting and tax compliance in collaboration with external providers.

  • Contribute to audit activities and group consolidation, ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables.
