The VOD Manager will lead editorial strategy and scheduling for BBC's non-linear products, including BBC Player, ensuring a compelling, high-quality content offering for affiliate partners in CEE & MENAT markets. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

Editorial Leadership:

• Define and execute the editorial vision for VOD platforms, creating curated collections, seasonal campaigns, and thematic content packages that resonate with diverse audiences.

Content Calendar Management:

• Develop and maintain VOD refresh plans and release schedules aligned with portfolio strategy, rights windows, and affiliate agreements.

Content Acquisition & Selection:

• Manage acquisition and selection of content for VOD platforms, applying program acquisition criteria and audience insights to ensure relevance, engagement, and commercial value.

Affiliate Coordination:

• Oversee delivery of curated content packages to affiliate partners, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, rights windows, and contractual obligations.
• Lead VOD-related processes for new product launches, taking full ownership of timelines, rights tracking, and budget considerations when advising on new content packages and product constructs.
• Act as the primary point of accountability for VOD readiness in launch projects, ensuring all editorial, operational, and financial elements are aligned.
• Closely cooperate with the Commercial Partnership team to fulfill strategic obligations and enable them to meet strategic objectives for planned affiliate launches, ensuring editorial and operational readiness supports commercial goals.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor VOD KPIs (e.g., engagement, completion rates, churn reduction) and adjust editorial and scheduling strategies based on data and market trends.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of editorial plans and promotional campaigns.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

ESSSENTIAL CRITERIA :

• Experience working in VOD environment.
• Skilled in interpreting audience analytics, consumption patterns, and performance metrics to inform editorial decisions.
• Deep understanding of VOD consumption patterns, rights management, and affiliate distribution models as well as global and regional content trends, viewing behaviors, and competitive landscape.
• Analytical mindset with experience using performance data to inform decisions.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder management.

DESIRED NOT REQUIRED:

• Strong editorial judgment and ability to curate content for diverse audiences.
• Extensive experience in content programming, VOD management, or related roles within media or entertainment.
• Proven track record in editorial planning and content acquisition for non-linear platforms.
• Familiarity with rights windows, metadata standards, and technical delivery requirements.
• Fluency in both Polish and English.
• Experience in CEE or MENAT markets.
• Appreciation of the BBC's mission, values, and editorial standards.
