Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience with backend service development and distributed systems.
  • Experience contributing to technical designs and system architecture.
  • Experience working with product managers and partner teams to build, iterate, and launch.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data processing and pipeline technologies.

We provide tools such as Google Ads, which enable advertisers to create video ad campaigns specifically for YouTube. These campaigns can be customized in various ways, allowing advertisers to optimize for specific goals, goal specific audiences, and select the most effective ad formats for their campaigns. We are now expanding this portfolio to include new capabilities that bring together content creators and brands. This initiative aims to encourage advertisers to increase and reallocate their ad budgets to Google, and to enable creators to consistently deliver fresh, new content to YouTube.

We're made up of multiple teams, building Google's Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.



Responsibilities
  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
