Compliance Monitoring Specialist - Financial Regulation

Location: Krakow, Poland

Contract Type: Contract

Our client, a leading international financial organisation, is seeking a skilled Compliance Monitoring Specialist for a contract role in Krakow. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in regulatory compliance and contribute to strengthening their risk management framework across Europe.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be central to the Compliance Monitoring Programme. You will independently test and review key controls within Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance. Your work will ensure their effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and help protect the organisation by maintaining high standards of control.

Responsibilities

  • Execute independent testing and review of compliance controls.
  • Identify control deficiencies, weaknesses, and their root causes.
  • Validate and discuss findings with key business stakeholders.
  • Draft clear reports summarising findings and proposed actions.
  • Advise stakeholders on the effectiveness of their controls.
  • Support the design and execution of control testing activities.
  • Contribute to defining the annual compliance monitoring plan.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance risks.
  • Experience in an assurance, audit, or 2LoD role is highly valued.
  • Clear understanding of risk and control frameworks in financial services.

  • Good working knowledge of European financial regulation.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to form sound judgements.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience working within a large, international financial institution.
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
