Teaching Assistant

Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw

Department of Clinical Psychology

Employment group: teaching

Teaching hours: 360h

• performing teaching duties in full-time and part-time studies in accordance with the schedule (conducting classes on selected days of the week and selected weekends)
• performing the necessary teaching-related administrative tasks (creating syllabuses, archiving students' papers, issuing grades, meeting with students through consultations/office hours)
• pursuing the development of professional competencies - primarily through participation in internal training programs and workshops, including those held during Academic Competencies Week
• attending meetings of the Department of Clinical Psychology and the specialization team
• supervising student internships in clinical psychology
• contributing to the integration of the student community by supporting the work of research clubs and organizations
• building relationships with the social and economic environment
• supporting activities aimed at maintaining good relations with graduates
• willingness to perform assigned functions and organizational tasks at the Faculty
• involvement in organizational work at the Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw

• possession of the title of Master of Psychology
• possession of knowledge and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, with a preference for expertise in child and adolescent psychopathology or in the diagnosis and treatment of addictions
• minimum one year of teaching experience at the university level (e.g., tutorials, workshops, or seminars), or several years of experience in conducting professional trainings, workshops and skill-building sessions
• English proficiency at a minimum level of B2
• fluent Polish proficiency
• commitment to submit a declaration confirming SWPS University as the primary place of employment
• readiness to teach classes on weekends

Preferred qualifications:

• clinical practice in the diagnosis and therapy of children and adolescents
• teaching experience in the areas of developmental psychology and child clinical psychology
• publication of scientific and popular science articles
• participation in marketing and promotional activities on behalf of the university

Formal criteria:

• scientific achievements: 5% of the final grade
• teaching achievements: 65% of the final grade
• organizational or practical achievements: 30% of the final grade
