MID Software Engineer

As a MID Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and secure customer data solutions across Customer Data Platform. You'll be part of a dynamic Agile team, supporting the modernisation of our data estate and helping deliver impactful solutions across a wide range of projects.

We're looking for a motivated and curious engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution to our customer-centric strategy.

What will you be doing?

• You will deliver software as part of a collaborative team, working closely with designers, technical leads, test engineers, DevOps specialists, and agile delivery leads

• Contribute to Customer Data solutions that support a variety of business and technology projects

• Help ensure the platform is performant, secure, cost-effective, and easy to maintain and evolve

• Work with your delivery team to understand requirements and develop robust software solutions

• Collaborate with business teams and platform designers to ensure smooth delivery of desired outcomes within scrum teams

What we're looking for?:

• Around 2 years of experience in Java development.

• Some experience with technologies such as Spring Boot and/or Reltio.

• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and modern software engineering principles.

• Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams within a multinational environment.

Skills:

• Solid foundation in Java programming.

• Understanding and application of SOLID design principles.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or Redshift is an advantage.

• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices including Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.

• Willingness to learn and apply best practices in performance, security, and maintainability.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to DevOps tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins and supporting languages.

• Experience with AWS development.

• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).

• Experience in Python

Communication and Collaboration:

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to ask questions, seek feedback, and explain technical concepts clearly.

• Experience working in Agile teams or participating in collaborative development environments.

Growth and Accountability:

• Eagerness to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality code.

• Openness to feedback and continuous learning.

• Ability to stay calm and focused when solving problems or facing challenges.
