WWT Poland is looking for a
Purchasing Supervisor
to join our team based in Lodz office.

The Supervisor position resides within the Global Order Operations team and interacts directly with Inside Sales, WWT Account Managers, Order Management, Program Managers, authorized suppliers and end-user customers when necessary. The Supervisor should have a strong understanding of the impact of Purchasing Operations to the end to end supply chain.They are a leader on their team for training, escalation of issue resolution, recruitment and for personnel issue resolution. They will have responsibility for building ROI justifications for process improvement requests. This role is expected to develop and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers. This involves working closely with suppliers to develop business relationships that help facilitate a more streamlined approach to sourcing while ensuring high levels of service are maintained.

Role responsibilities & duties:

  • Responsible for Understanding, teaching and communicating WWT Leadership Initiatives
  • Build a High Performance Culture through TEAMWORK
  • Create and Maintain Customer Response / Service Priorities
  • Subject Matter Expert Concerning Daily Processes and Procedures
  • Manage, Lead and Train Teammates
  • Complete and Conduct Midyear and Annual Employee Assessments for Direct Reports
  • Responsible for Compensation Plan Generation
  • Effectively leverage supplier reporting/performance
  • Creates measures to maximize resource utilization; builds reports and tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Serves as an expert in continuous improvement; develops department-wide measures to track improvements and monitor quality.
  • Facilitates collaboration with different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop effective solutions to issues.
  • Takes a whole systems approach to analyze issues and implements holistic solutions by ensuring that linkages between structure, people, process and technology are made.
  • Cultivates business relationships, partnerships and alliances internally, externally and virtually.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the financial impact of decisions/solutions to drive projects and analyses that support the organization's mission.
  • Keeps apprised of all changes in regulations relative to international importation and exportation (e.g., customs requirements, trade tariffs and duties, security regulations) and understands the impact on the organization.
  • Demonstrates detailed knowledge of the processes for ordering, shipping and warehousing materials; ensures a consistent flow for production and looks for opportunities to improve the movement of materials.

Role requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • Several years of Information Technology procurement experience is preferred
  • Experience in leading a team preferred
  • Does not avoid difficult conversations but addresses challenging direct reports in a timely manner through effective coaching
  • Effectively and efficiently organizes resources to get things done
  • Treats direct reports fairly, with positive intentions, and does not play favorites
  • Basic understanding of requirements, process and documents needed to export material from the US
  • Oracle ERP experience, preferred
  • Customer Service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced level of English and Polish languages (speaking, reading and writing)
