Company & Position Overview
On behalf of our Client, a leading European player in the Consumer Goods industry with a strong brand portfolio and extensive market presence, we are currently seeking an experienced and business-oriented Export Director.
This is a strategic leadership position reporting directly to the General Manager, responsible for driving the company's international commercial strategy and export performance across multiple regions and distribution channels.
The chosen candidate will lead the export organization, manage key international accounts and distributors, and develop new markets to strengthen the company's global presence and growth trajectory.
Scope of Duties:
- Define and execute the export strategy to achieve business growth and profitability targets across international markets.
- Manage and develop relationships with distributors, retail partners, and key clients across Europe and other strategic regions.
- Identify and open new markets, channels, and distribution opportunities in line with company expansion goals.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing policies, and promotional activities to ensure sustainable growth and brand positioning.
- Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory environments to anticipate changes and seize business opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the export sales team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration.
- Cooperate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Production teams to ensure operational excellence and delivery consistency.
- Oversee sales forecasting, budget planning, and P&L management for export markets.
- Drive continuous improvement in export processes, distribution efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at key international fairs, events, and trade missions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Management, or International Trade.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in export or international sales management within the Consumer Goods sector.
- Proven track record in developing new markets and managing distributor networks internationally.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills combined with strategic thinking.
- Leadership experience in managing multicultural or cross-border sales teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with strong customer focus.
- Fluency in English, additional European language will be an asset.
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
