Mission:
 Take a 
crawler
 and turn it into a 
pilot-ready product
 by integrating mechanics/electronics/software and 
adding MAIGOM features
 (gateway, UI, data, plug-in modules). Operate in 
garage-startup mode
 (co-living/co-working base + makerspace + mini-lab). Pilot partners are in the 
Balkan region
.

You're a 
solo-capable builder
 who meets goals, 
grounds the founding team's ideas
 into lean engineering plans, and 
leads two trainees
 so their work accelerates yours (and the project).

What you'll build (explicit, no trade secrets)

• Integrate a crawler
   and subsystems (drive, winch/tether, cameras/lights, sensors) into one field-ready platform.
• Extend the crawler
   with MAIGOM's 
  gateway services
  , 
  operator UI
  , 
  data logging/analytics
  , and 
  plug-in hardware modules
  .
• Evolve the tether
   from conventional to 
  hybrid power/data
   (e.g., power + fiber): connectors, sealing (IP), signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations.
• Select compute (e.g., 
  embedded/NVIDIA-class SoMs, FPGAs
  ) and own the embedded integration path.

Responsibilities

• Own
   the robotic-mechanical concept for vertical deployment (rollers, guides, suspension) and DFM.
• Co-design
   the gateway (I/O, power, comms) and deliver 
  abstracted device drivers
   + hooks for the operator UI (video, telemetry, depth).
• Build a 
  Poland-based BOM
   with 
  two alternatives
   for critical parts; source local suppliers; manage tolerances and assembly plans.
• Set up 
  test rigs
   and run 
  50–200 m field trials
  ; track latency/FPS, traction, cable management; produce concise test reports.
• Coach and lead two trainees
  : assign tasks that unblock you, review their work, document knowledge transfer, and help each find their best fit (mechanical/electrical/embedded).
• Keep the team focused: convert concepts into 
  lean milestones
   with clear acceptance criteria; 
  deliver sources weekly
   (native CAD + STEP/Parasolid + firmware/configs).

Requirements (to succeed)

• SolidWorks / Fusion / Inventor
   with fabrication-ready assemblies.
• Hands-on experience in 
  robots or special-purpose machinery
  : sealing/IP, powertrain, harness design, cable routing.
• Comfort with 
  embedded systems
   (Linux on mini-PCs or SoMs), basic video pipelines, and integration glue.
• Languages:
   Ideally you can communicate in 
  two of three
   — 
  English / Polish / Spanish
   (working language: English).
• Solo attitude + startup rhythm:
   own outcomes, move fast, communicate clearly, prefer 
  deliverables over meetings
  .

Nice to have

• Winches/tethers or down-hole/confined-space systems.
• FPGAs / NVIDIA-class modules, ROS/ROS2 basics, and willingness to use 
  AI tools
   for rapid prototyping.
• Supplier network in PL (machining, seals, cables, connectors).

• B2B
   with milestones (monthly SOWs under a 12-month MSA).
• Guide:

• Warsaw (on-site/hybrid)

• Garage-style setup: makerspace for heavy work; mini-lab for light electronics/prototyping.

Garage-style Note

Hands-on, frugal, fast iterations. If you want real ownership and to see your design operating in a borehole within weeks, you'll thrive. If you need corporate processes and big machines on day one, this isn't it.
