Who we are looking for
Database Architect – PostgreSQL
We're looking for an experienced
Database Engineer
with deep expertise in
PostgreSQL
and cloud-native database solutions .

If you're passionate about building scalable
data systems

Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with
    PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS
  • Strong background in
    database architecture
    , design, and performance tuning
  • Proven experience
    with data modeling, indexing, and query optimization
  • Experience implementing
    disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (
    AWS preferred
    ) and infrastructure automation
  • Experience working with
    DevOps teams
    and integrating databases into
    CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of security
    best practices
    , including authentication and access control
  • Ability to analyze complex data requirements and turn them into practical,
    scalable solutions
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative approach to
    problem-solving

Your future role
In this role, you will:

  • Create and maintain
    ER diagrams and schema evolution
    strategies to support system growth.
  • Architect scalable and reliable
    PostgreSQL
    database solutions that meet current and future business needs.
  • Optimize performance
    through advanced indexing, partitioning, and sharding techniques.
  • Evaluate and apply scaling strategies — horizontal, vertical, or hybrid — based on workload requirements.
  • Develop robust backup
    ,
    recovery
    , and
    disaster recovery
    procedures to ensure data integrity.
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control following least-privilege principles.
  • Work with cloud-based infrastructure (
    AWS Aurora and other cloud databases
    ) to deliver modern, high-availability environments.
  • Automate database operations using Infrastructure as Code tools like
    Terraform
    and integrate with
    CI/CD pipelines
    .
  • Design and implement efficient ETL/ELT and change data capture (CDC) processes for seamless data movement.
  • Ensure data quality and reliability through proactive monitoring and validation frameworks.
  • Use monitoring tools such as
    CloudWatch
    ,
    DataDog
    , or
    Prometheus
    to track database performance and stability.
  • Collaborate closely with
    DevOps
    , data engineers, and development teams to align database architecture with application needs.
  • Stay up to date on
    PostgreSQL
    advancements, cloud technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
