Senior .Net Developer

ISB Software Development Center (ISB SDC) in Warsaw is a technology excellence center of Íslandsbanki (Reykjavik, Iceland).

We are a group of software development professionals who work together following best practices and processes to deliver high quality software solutions and capability. 

We are looking for a Back-end / Full-stack developer to join fully stacked team developing a variety of finance and customer servicing solutions.  You will be working with other developers, product owners and testers on a daily basis, to constantly evolve our operational software, automation, testing, monitoring, performance and overall quality. You should feel confident in your development skills and open to diverse opinions so that we can make the decisions on how to build our best solutions. As a senior developer you will be expected to work on projects as a lead and give guidance to other members on technical design and overall, on best practices. 

Responsibilities and duties: 

• Working with the team on designing, developing and maintaining a backend solutions that support our operational softwares. 
• Act as a senior engineering representative in development team activities.  
• Participate in product development through cross team collaboration. 
• Designing software for automatic testability, recoverability from failures, with built in privacy and security.  
• Take part in shaping and maintaining the overall enterprise technical architecture. 
• Create, maintain and document software patterns and cross functional libraries. 
• Coach IT teams and train new hires.

•  5+ years of experience as software developer or engineer is required. 

• Passion for automating everything, RESTful API first development, data and event-driven architectures.   

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GIT, MSSQL, .NET Core/C# is preferred.  

• Experience in test automation is a plus.  

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.    

• Excellent programming, problem-solving and analytical skills.   

• Ability to learn new coding languages and technologies.   

• Experience working in Banking or Fintech is a plus.

What does the recruitment process look like?

1. It will take us up to a few days to review your application and get back to you in an email.

2. If your profile meets our criteria, we'll invite you for a 20-30 min phone call in English, to get to know you a bit better and tell you a bit about Islandsbanki.

3. We will send you a test to accomplish to get the look at your general knowledge. 

4. If there is potential for a match, we will invite you to 1-2h remote interview . It'll be divided into two parts. First, we'd love to hear more about your experience, and tell you a bit more about the project you will be working on in first. After a short break, we'll jump into the technical part where you'll have the chance to truly show off your skills.

5. We have planned a 20 min video call with our Executive Director of the Polish subsidiary - it's good to get to know each other before making the final decision
