This role focuses on supporting the
collection, production, analysis, dissemination, and maintenance
of accurate and consistent
installation geospatial data and mapping products
, including both
GIS
and
Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
.

Work will be based primarily at
US Army Garrison – Poznań, Poland
.

Employment requires
EU (preferred)
or
US citizenship
, along with the ability to successfully
pass a basic background check
for access to US military bases.

Responsibilities

• Produce and analyze geospatial and mapping data while maintaining Army GIS data standards.
• Input, process, and manage spatial data using GIS and mapping systems.
• Read and interpret maps, record drawings, and legal descriptions.
• Prepare charts, graphs, and visual presentations for project deliverables.
• Apply and maintain QCP and SDSFIE standards.
• Collaborate closely with local client staff and take technical direction from subject matter experts.
• Communicate project progress and address any missing or unclear data issues.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all deliverables.
• Pass a US DoD background check and travel to field sites as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Surveying Engineering, Forestry, Earth Science, Natural Resources, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with GIS.
• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS software.
• Knowledge of field data collection techniques and principles.
• Strong general computer skills (MS Office Suite or similar).
• Fluent English language speaking and writing skillset.

Desired Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Surveying Engineering, Forestry, Earth Science, or Natural Resources.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro.
• Technical understanding of GIS, CADD, and database systems.
• German language speaking and writing skillset.
