GL Accounting Process Team

The GL Accounting Process Team handles centralized accounting tasks shared across entities to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities include managing Intercompany processes, Global Cash Management, and verifying expense categories by collecting, reviewing data, and preparing journal entries. The team supports Akamai's operations across nearly 30 countries in the Americas, EMEA, and APJ regions.

Partner with the best

This role primarily supports the Intercompany process and assists cross-functional projects to align finance teams with company objectives. The GL Accountant contributes to preparing and analyzing complex accounting close areas while ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. This position involves significant engagement in financial processes to achieve organizational goals effectively and efficiently.

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Participating in end-to-end intercompany processes, including analysis of accounting transactions, transfer pricing activity booking, and recording the payments.Managing intercompany processes related to fixed asset sales, including preparing and recording transactionsPerforming reconciliation of intercompany accountsCooperating with internal non-finance and finance representatives (e.g., treasury, tax) and outside accounting service providers.Executing and supporting Global Cash Management processSupporting preparation of the assigned month-end
accrual estimationParticipating in improvement initiatives with others
members of the accounting and finance teams or with other departments.Following the guidance of US GAAP, company policies and internal controls to ensure compliance.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Hold a degree in Accounting, Auditing, or another finance-related field.Have experience in general ledger accounting, reporting, or audit.Exhibit advanced Excel proficiency, including expertise in functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.Possess solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Be able to work independently and communicate fluently in spoken and written English.Be familiar with IFRS/US GAAP standards and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
