The function will also support the supplier management and development. Service and maintenance strategy, is also within their scope together with OOE and TPM.ResponsibilitiesAs a Tooling Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in defining the requirements and specifications for tools used in the Lay-up process, in the blades building process. If you do not have a deep knowledge within composite materials, you will have a high motivation to get it. Your main responsibilities:Design, and optimizing tools for the lay-up processesCreate tooling and supplier roadmap via analysis of AS IS and future stateTool development and delivery (TPM)Service and maintenance strategy including EAMInvestigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEAApplying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product qualityQualificationsAbout 10 years of experience in similar roles related to tool developmentMaster's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related fieldGB Six Sigma or Advanced Manufacturing Process AnalysisFluent English; Polish language will be valuableKnowledge of MSP (Microsoft Project or similar) and CAD/CAM (ideally CATIA V5)Willingness to travel to support multiple Vestas sitesAbility to develop and/or specify tool functions for handling blade parts in the lay-up process, including equipment for quality control and online process measurementsCompetenciesDeep understanding of how the manufacturing processes can be automized for the benefit of the product qualityHaving composite materials knowledge, understanding of fiberglass, carbon fiber, epoxy resins, and other materials used in production will be beneficialData-Driven Decision MakingYou are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational disciplineYou find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholdersYou are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspectiveYou are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problemsWhat We OfferAt Vestas, team members benefit from a supportive and varied international workplace, receiving equitable compensation for their contributions, along with access to ongoing professional development opportunities.
