Purpose of the Role
Ready to bring big ideas to life? As our
Project Buyer
, you'll be at the heart of creating eye‑catching Permanent Point of Sale displays and retail fixtures that make brands shine. You'll turn client briefs into reality, sourcing the most capable suppliers, spotting fresh innovations, and keeping your finger on the pulse of global market trends.

You'll collaborate with creative teams, designers, and engineers to make sure every project runs smoothly — from the first sketch to the final installation. Think of yourself as the connector: engaging suppliers, coordinating handovers, and ensuring every detail is delivered to perfection.

This role reports into the Director – Global Technical Buying – Permanent Point of Sale & Retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Add value to projects by challenging norms and driving category growth
• Ensure contractually compliant pricing and flawless execution at the highest standards
• Apply analytics in tenders and complex RFQs, reviewing results to propose best-in-class solutions
• Collaborate with account teams to meet or exceed savings targets and category KPIs
• Work with client engagement, design, and engineering teams to secure technical drawings, BOMs, and clear briefs
• Align supply chain strategy to secure best pricing, logistics, and global compliance
• Compile RFQ documents, liaise with suppliers, and manage tender processes
• Present tender outcomes with recommendations, ensuring client engagement has all necessary information
• Oversee CPA production, tooling contracts, and quality control documentation to manage client expectations
• Manage project execution through prototyping, production signoff, and handover to job managers for delivery
• Transition production to new vendors when appropriate, sourcing directly from manufacturers to cut out intermediaries
• Ensure adherence to the global "One Way of Working" strategy across all projects

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• An experienced professional with good commercial experience in Permanent Display & Retail.
• The ability to negotiate at all levels
• Experience of business process re-engineering and procurement outsourcing
• Demonstrate highly developed relationship management skills and develop excellent client team relationships
• Ability to constructively challenge client facing teams regarding their requirements where appropriate and have the influencing skills to have an impact at senior level
• Appropriate technical qualifications
• Preferably CIPS qualified or other professional qualification
• Microsoft office skills, including advanced MS excel skills
