Job Description
As the
Senior Finance BI Specialist
you will become an important member of the Finance Data Solutions Team at Rockwell Automation, implementing Business Intelligence, data analytics, and innovative data solutions to solve complex, real-world challenges across all of Rockwell's global segments and operational areas. You will be the primary link between business, IT, and our partners, facilitating Rockwell's goal of establishing a centralized data platform, primarily utilizing Microsoft technology. As an important member of the Finance Data Solutions Team, you will ensure that high-quality, well-structured data is available for Leadership, including Senior Leadership, Analysts and AI systems. This data will empower decision-making and improve operations across the organization.

• Azure SQL Data Warehouse
• Azure Databricks

This role is located in our Katowice office with a hybrid work system.

You will report directly to Data Solutions Lead

Your Responsibilities

• Understand business needs to propose appropriate, effective and realistic data solutions that meet business needs and support our strategy
• Design and deliver data solutions, semantic models and required data security collaborating with IT and other BI teams
• Design and deliver self-service data solutions for analysts and operations, ensuring easy and effective ad-hoc access to data on a daily basis. Ensure access at different levels of granularity in a secure and controlled manner
• Understand RA data and systems to provide centralized data platform
• Deliver data models to support ML and AI solutions
• Conduct user acceptance and feedback sessions

The Essentials - You Will Have

• 4+ years of experience in Microsoft Power BI (or similar BI tool)
• 4+ years of experience with Business Intelligence or Data Engineering
• 3+ years of experience working with data warehouse / data lake / Big Data / ETL / processing of large datasets or related
• Demonstrated expertise in designing semantic models for large-scale datasets
• Very good English– verbal and writing skills.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline
