Managing Director

Allcom is seeking to recruit a Managing Director to lead the team, ensure the smooth running of the business and oversee key functions including operations, business development, health and safety and finance.

Based in Gdynia and reporting to the Board of Directors and to the Chief Executive Officer of its parent company, Breakwater Investments Limited, the Managing Director will manage and develop the service portfolio while devising and executing growth strategies. They will also nurture its B2B client relationships and ensure the right systems and policies are in place to deliver improvements in market share and profitability. The Managing Director will run the business autonomously from a P&L perspective, working within the parameters and reporting structure set by the Group.

Allcom specialises in a comprehensive range of freight forwarding services and warehousing, supporting customers in diverse sectors in Poland. From its offices at Gdynia on the south coast of the Baltic Sea, Allcom's team shares a wealth of expertise and connections to a robust global network of customs agencies.

Allcom's core business is door-to-door and port-to-door freight forwarding of containerised cargo, including food products, chemicals and construction materials. The company also provides customs clearance, project cargo and warehousing solutions.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in a leadership position in the logistics industry and a postgraduate qualification in business management, with a demonstrable track record in devising and executing growth strategies.

A strong command of the English language and excellent negotiation and analytical skills, particularly in analysing and presenting data are required. Experience working within a multi-cultural environment and a tiered corporate reporting structure will also be considered an asset.
