Full Stack Developer

HYBRID (ON-SITE + REMOTE)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Full Stack Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland.

Our client is one of the world's largest food retailers, operating thousands of stores across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Europe. The company operates through multi-format stores and its online platform. It operates stores in various formats, differentiated by size and the range of products sold, including large, small, dot-com only, and one-stop. They offer a wide range of products, including fresh food, drinks, bakery items, groceries, home and entertainment products, baby products, clothing, household appliances, frozen food, pets, health and beauty products, consumer electronics, and electrical goods. It also provides consultancy, retail banking, and insurance services. The company was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Welwyn Garden City, the UK.

There are several sub-teams, comprising a total of 200 people, in the Krakow tech hub. As a Tech Hub, they cooperate within the group of Technology Hubs located in the UK, Poland, Hungary, and India.

Office work is expected at 2-3 days per week (Krakow).

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of React, , and
• Experience with CI/CD configuration, Docker, and a DevOps approach.
• Knowledge of GitOps principles.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (code reviews, testing, version control, build processes, and operations).
• Experience designing systems for scalability, availability, and performance.
• Experience with micro-frontend architecture.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes basics.
• Previous experience in e-commerce or large-scale, security-focused applications.
• Experience with cloud platform experience (Azure or AWS).
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and computational skills.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write, review, and contribute high-quality, maintainable, and performant code.
• Design and implement cross-platform, lightweight, mobile-first progressive web applications.
• Develop and maintain BFF services and APIs.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Docker containers.
• Focus on performance optimization, reliability, availability, and security.
• Contribute to defining features and architectural design for team-owned services.
• Collaborate effectively within your team and communicate progress to management and stakeholders.
