Join Sii as a Procurement Specialist

If you enjoy finding the most optimal solutions for an organization, then this role is for you. We are looking for a committed, organized individual who values self-reliance and a real impact on supplier selection.

In the project, you will be responsible for negotiating and liaising with suppliers of services supporting the manufacturing and assembly of rail vehicles used worldwide.

The role envisions working in a hybrid model, involving 3 days per week working from the Chorzow office.

*Your tasks*

  • Undertaking activities to properly execute the purchasing process: analyzing supplies, creating requests for proposals, negotiating prices and terms of purchase
  • Cooperation with existing suppliers
  • Drawing up agreements and contracts
  • Searching for new suppliers
  • Evaluation and verification of suppliers
  • Placing orders and controlling the timeliness of deliveries
  • Optimization of costs associated with the purchasing process
  • Effective cooperation with other company departments

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading purchasing processes
  • University degree or in the course of study, preferred major: Production Management and Engineering or Economics and related fields
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good knowledge of English - min. B1
  • Very good computer skills in MS Office
  • Punctuality and good organization of working time
  • Willingness to work 3 times a week in the office in Chorzow
  • Residence in Poland required and fluency in Polish language

Nice to have

  • Experience in purchasing IT products and services
  • Knowledge of SAP system
