PROJECT INFORMATION:

  • Remuneration: up to 200 PLN/h netto + VAT (B2B)
  • Location: 100% remote with occasional visit in Warsaw
  • Summary: The Lead Network Engineer role is pivotal in modernizing and managing network solutions for critical SaaS products. This position aims to ensure high availability and minimal downtime of the IT platforms while enhancing the team's capabilities through automation and effective documentation.

Main Responsibilities

The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for overseeing network solutions, ensuring optimal performance for various SaaS applications.

  • Modernize network solutions for critical SaaS products.
  • Implement IPS for network solutions across SaaS applications.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis of network solutions.
  • Coordinate technical tasks within the network team.
  • Continuously automate deployment, configuration, and operations of network components.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security measures and organizational standards.
  • Explain complex networking concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Improve documentation quality & governance for network solutions.

Key Requirements

  • Proven technical leadership experience in networking within cross-functional environments.
  • Experience designing networks for high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR).
  • Extensive experience in Fortigate firewall administration and BGP routing.
  • Solid understanding of MPLS, VPN/SSLVPN, and network layers.
  • Familiarity with using the Fortigate API for automation.
  • Experience in networking troubleshooting (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, Routing and Switching, Load Balancing).
  • Experience with Azure and AWS cloud networking concepts.
  • Good understanding of modern security requirements and implementation patterns.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with enterprise-level networking environments.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or relevant cloud certifications.
  • Experience working in agile environments.
