On behalf of Feeld, GT is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to help them improve their inclusive dating application.

Their mission is to elevate the human experience of sexuality and relationships and create a world where everyone is more intimately connected to each other and themselves.

About the Role

Feeld is building an inclusive, human-centered product and they are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to become part of their remote team and their mission to elevate the human experience of sexuality and relationships. You'll take charge of triaging, investigating, and resolving the most intricate issues encountered in their systems. This role demands expert knowledge of cross-platform development and a deep understanding of underlying technologies and frameworks. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in developing applications at scale, ensuring data integrity in globally distributed systems, and proficiency in performance testing and system monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• develop and deploy scalable and resilient backend systems utilizing NoSQL and event-driven technologies within cloud-first architectures

• take charge of in-depth investigations across backend systems, providing clear pathways to resolution

• optimize system performance to ensure reliability and availability

• collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and QA, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

• at least 5 years of experience in back-end development using

• demonstrated proficiency in backend development, with expertise in creating self-documented APIs using Node web frameworks (GraphQL or REST), alongside a strong grasp of event-driven architectures and NoSQL data storage

• skilled in TypeScript with familiarity with AWS services like ECS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, EventBridge, and PostgreSQL

• comprehensive understanding of core mobile native and cross-platform (React Native) development, including native build configurations in Xcode and Android Studio

• emphasis on achieving performance and stability, with deep knowledge of React Native's internals, rendering optimizations, and the JS bridge

• meticulous in crafting effective and reliable unit and integration tests

• full proficiency in English

Nice-to-have

• experience in mobile development using React Native

• experience with Apollo, NestJS, Amplitude, Firebase Authentication, Stream Chat, Cloudinary, Sentry, Snowflake

• interest in globally distributed systems and their scalability

• curiosity about ML and AI models and their application in recommendation engines

• test-driven mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency

• proficiency in Terraform
