Summary

Andersen is hiring a System Engineer (Microsoft Exchange Engineer) in the EU to support and maintain corporate email infrastructure and related workplace systems, for a global mobility tech company.

The customer is a global engineering and technology partner working across the mobility and industrial sectors. The company develops advanced software and system solutions for vehicles, powertrains, and emerging digital mobility services. With international teams and strong expertise in both hardware and software, it focuses on sustainable technologies, including electric mobility and intelligent automated systems.

The project is focused on supporting and maintaining the corporate email infrastructure, including Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and related workplace systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the corporate email infrastructure.
  • Managing monthly updates and patching for Exchange, M365 services, Windows Server, and security components.
  • Conducting system reviews and assessments, including performance monitoring and log analysis.
  • Executing work packages, including small implementation changes, migrations, and security policy updates.
  • Handling Level 2–3 tickets and resolving incidents related to mailboxes, routing logic, and Outlook end-user support.
  • Analyzing and mitigating spam and suspicious email issues through filtering and protection mechanisms.
  • Following standard ITSM workflows for incident and service request management (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

Requirements

  • Experience as a System Administrator for 2+ years.
  • Experience in maintaining and operating Exchange environments (Exchange On-Premise, Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid).
  • Mandatory knowledge of Exchange Hybrid configuration.
  • Experience handling tickets and troubleshooting Outlook-related issues.
  • Ability to analyze and verify suspicious emails.
  • Basic knowledge in supporting SMTP and POP3 services.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting mail flow and connectivity issues.
  • Experience with PowerShell for Exchange administration.
  • Knowledge of email security standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS).
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
  • Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
