Job Description

The purpose of team is to quickly and reliably deliver migration projects in the area of Sybase EoL.

The complexity of the topics might vary, from migration to Postgresql to rewriting whole applications. With migration we consider updgrade of the frameworks and libraries, there is also a room for refactorization. The roadmap for this will be constructed along the way, depending on the speed of the team and their capabilities.

Main Tasks:

  • Migration of Java applications from Sybase database to PostgreSQL.
  • Creating new applications based on modern cloud stack: Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with Java, SpringBoot, Sybase (migration source), Postgres (migration target).
  • Strong programming skills & database knowledge (preferably PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of stored procedures as they will migrate them from Sybase to Java apps.
  • Familiarity with integration technologies such as Kafka or REST.
Additional Information
  • Work is conducted in a hybrid system: 3 days a week from office in Warsaw, Lublin or Poznań.
  • English language proficiency at B2+ level.
