Senior Procurement Specialist – Lockheed Martin (Defence)

Senior Procurement Specialist will report to the LM Supply Chain Associate Contracts Manager, and will be responsible for providing and undertaking Indirect Procurement requests for Europe.

The individual in this position is required to:

• Support a range of indirect, non-product procurement activities including sourcing,
• negotiating and purchasing of materials, equipment, parts, services and supplies.
• Lead projects to rationalise services across European landscape.
• Lead the creation and management of procurement processes through to delivery, including tracking orders, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.
• Enter procurement data records into the system/s of record and internal tracking tools in accordance with company processes and procedures.
• Liaise with external suppliers as required in a professional manner.
• Assist in the preparation of procurement data required by other stakeholders and management.
• Keep informed of price trends and assist in the evaluation of areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions.
• Work with LM Legal team to verify correct Terms and Conditions to be used for European procurements, draft new Terms and Conditions where required.
• Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems and assist in the implementation of Effective Solutions. May refer to established precedents and policies.
• Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, environment, safety, duty of care, and the quality management system.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

• Minimum of 5-6 years relevant experience in procurement
• Strong proven understanding of European procurement and has demonstrable experience in handling European procurement projects
• Proven communication (written and verbal)
• Fluent in Polish and English
• Computer literacy with an ability to analyse and interpret reports
• Basic to intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages (SAP, P2P knowledge are a benefit)
• Ability and Willingness to travel to different locations as required.
