The Opportunity

We're seeking an
IT Manager / Head of IT
you'll be the primary IT leader in Poland, reporting to the CEO and collaborating with our international group headquarters. You'll manage a team of ~20 IT professionals and have
real strategic impact
on IT strategy, budget, security, and delivery

This is a
hands-on leadership role
combining strategic thinking with operational execution in a regulated fintech environment.

Your Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute IT strategy aligned with business goals and KNF/NBP regulations
  • Manage IT budget and technology investment decisions
  • Report to CEO, Management Board, and regulators (KNF, NBP)

Security & Compliance

  • Drive compliance with DORA, PSD2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and payment institution regulations
  • Oversee IT security, risk management, and incident response
  • Prepare documentation for audits and regulatory reviews

Operations & Delivery

  • Lead QA, IT support, and security teams (~20 people)
  • Manage full SDLC and ensure on-time, quality delivery
  • Oversee infrastructure, system availability, and vendor relationships

Team & Collaboration

  • Build high-performing IT team and foster agile culture
  • Collaborate with international group headquarters and business teams
  • Bridge IT and business stakeholders across multiple locations

Must-Have

  • 5+ years IT experience, 3+ years leadership in
    financial services, fintech, or payment institutions
  • Experience leading
    IT and operations teams
    (10+ people)
  • Direct knowledge of
    KNF/NBP regulations, DORA, PSD2, GDPR, ISO 27001
  • Strong understanding of
    SDLC, IT governance, cybersecurity, and IT risk management
  • Fluent
    Polish and English

Nice-to-Have

  • Payment institution or payment services background
  • Cloud infrastructure and distributed team experience
  • Experience leading with software development teams
  • ITIL, COBIT, or IT governance frameworks
  • Certifications: ISO 27001, CISM, CISSP, PMP
