Our client, a renowned global financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Manager to join their Technology division in Krakow, Poland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and delivering on key responsibilities related to IBM MVS and Sapphire contracts, ensuring optimization, streamlining, and consolidation of all aspects of these activities.

Position Overview

As the Senior Contract Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing third-party IT spend, focusing on optimizing the utilization of hardware, software, resources, and associated IT services to maximize value and cost savings for the organization. You will engage with senior stakeholders within the Technology division and IBM, taking a proactive approach to engagement, innovation, and driving opportunities to realize benefit. Additionally, you will provide support, direction, and oversight to a team of 2 junior contract managers aligned to both IBM MVS and Sapphire contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate contracts lifecycle (PSR, TPS, ATP Approver, Signature, PO, Invoice) for IBM MVS and Sapphire contracts
  • Review and approve contracts in locations where services are provided (manual and via COUPA), ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies
  • Prepare and present Effective Licence Position view for Sapphire contract
  • Serve as SME for Contract-Finance, domains, projects, licence drawdowns/entitlements, and engage with SSP Leads for Sapphire contract
  • Define, lead, and create roadmap/demand profile with the help of Product Owners/Domain Leads for both contracts
  • Establish and lead governance meetings with suppliers in line with agreed processes
  • Ensure resilience in the management of contracts with clear process documentation and stakeholder sign-off

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT contract management, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and company policies related to contracts
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in managing contracts lifecycle, including PSR, TPS, ATP Approver, Signature, PO, and Invoice processes
  • Experience in preparing and presenting Effective Licence Position views and serving as an SME for Contract-Finance, domains, projects, and licence drawdowns/entitlements
  • Ability to define, lead, and create roadmaps/demand profiles in collaboration with Product Owners/Domain Leads
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide support, direction, and oversight to junior team members
