WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
The future of sustainable spaceflight relies on one critical moment: the landing. This internship offers a unique opportunity to bridge aerospace engineering and marine robotics by developing the "brain" of an autonomous sea barge dedicated to 1st-stage launcher recovery.
Your internship will focus on the end-to-end design, development, and validation of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) functions for the sea barge.
You will tackle the hydrodynamics required to keep a platform stable in the open sea, designing intelligent strategies for both homing (autonomous transit) and station-keeping (precision positioning for touchdown).
Crucially, this role moves beyond simulation. The project culminates in a hands-on validation campaign using a 2-meter miniaturized barge model, fully equipped with all relevant sensors and actuators. You will deploy your algorithms on this hardware-rich demonstrator to prove the vessel's ability to stabilize in real-world conditions.

- Strong understanding of Control Theory and Sensor Fusion techniques.
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and C language implementation.
We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in sea dynamics or marine hydrodynamics.
