Progress OpenEdge Senior Solution Analyst
Responsibilities

• Links HAVI vision, values, goals, and strategies to everyday work
• Capable of anticipating and understanding market / customer needs in their specific area
• Sets high standards, clear goals & challenges 3rd party staff to achieve more
• Explores options when unable to deliver a requested product or service, and pursues solutions until the user is satisfied
• Emphasizes a team approach to providing great user experience
• Ensures the projects or program's goals, purpose, and criteria for success are clearly defined
• Clarifies the related roles and responsibilities, deliverables, milestones, limits for independent decision-making, and needs and desires of the business\
• Breaks down organizational barriers, influencing decision making authority
• Inspires and persuades others to voluntarily follow direction, pursue and achieve goals, and adopt new solution
• Re-evaluates current procedures and suggests improvements to ensure an effective, streamlined process
• Keep themselves informed about new technology and future release for the solution
• Builds trust and credibility within Market IT teams and Product Development through active building of relationships

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role as a Solutions Analyst, Business Analyst, or related IT position
• Proficiency in analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
• Experience in business process knowledge within one or more of the following Industry Sectors: Logistics, Supply chain management
• Minimum of three years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including architecture and application design / development
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, systems integration, and project management principles
• Experience with the Progress OpenEdge platform and the ABL programming language (both procedural and OO) is a strong plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
• Excellent analytical and technical skill
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to work with developers in an "in-and-out" outsourced environment
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Capable of translating business requirements in functional specs
• Team player, with experience in Europe and Asia ideally and in virtual teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
