About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Audio Programmer to join our dynamic audio team. You'll collaborate with composers, sound designers, and game developers to design, implement, and optimize cutting-edge audio systems and features for video games across mobile, PC, and console platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain audio systems and tools for game projects
  • Implement audio features and optimize audio pipelines across Unreal Engine and Unity
  • Work with FMOD and Wwise middleware to integrate complex audio solutions
  • Support sound designers and game developers in achieving the highest audio quality
  • Debug and optimize audio code for performance across multiple platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering and creative teams to solve technical audio challenges
  • Develop and maintain technical audio documentation and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience as an Audio Programmer in game development
  • Strong proficiency in C++
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, C#, or similar) for tools automation
  • Hands-on experience with both Unreal Engine (4/5) and Unity
  • Professional experience with audio middleware (FMOD and/or Wwise)
  • Solid understanding of technical audio concepts (DSP, audio signal processing, spatial audio)
  • Proven experience shipping at least one commercial game title
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities
  • Languages: English (intermediate or higher), Russian.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of console (PS, Xbox, Nintendo Switch) audio specifications
  • Experience with cross-platform audio optimization
  • Custom audio tool development
  • Understanding of game audio from a creative perspective
  • Experience with audio AI and procedural audio systems
