IS Design and Build Manager for Hosting

Your Role And Responsibilities
The IS Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering infrastructure projects within the on-premises hosting environment. The successful candidate will bring together technical project management expertise, strong client engagement skills, proactive problem-solving, and experience coordinating planned changes within production environments.

The work model for the role is:

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading and delivering infrastructure projects in the on-premises hosting environment (e.g., hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, and deployment of new services).
  • Managing the full project lifecycle - from initiation, scoping, and planning through execution, testing, and transition to operations, including coordination of planned maintenance windows and change management activities to minimize disruption to production services.
  • Acting as the primary client interface, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and alignment between business requirements and technical delivery.
  • Translating complex technical details into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinating cross-functional internal teams (system administrators, network, storage, and security engineers) and external vendors.
  • Preparing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Facilitating regular client meetings, steering committees, and progress updates.
  • Identifying and managing project risks, dependencies, and escalations proactively.
  • Coordinating implementation of scheduled changes during maintenance windows (nonstandard working hours).

Qualifications For The Role

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, including large-scale infrastructure or hosting projects.
  • Proven track record in leading complex, multi-stakeholder, or client-facing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with hosting technologies and concepts (e.g. VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V, Veem, Commvault)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - able to build trust and drive alignment with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to coordinate planned maintenance and infrastructure changes outside standard business hours and on weekends, with all activities scheduled and agreed in advance.
  • Solid knowledge of project management frameworks (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile) and experience with PM tools (e.g. MS Project, Planner).
  • Fluent in English (C1 level preferred).
