Regional Chief Accountant/Head of Accounting

We seek to employ an experienced Regional Chief Accountant. The successful candidate will be based in Warsaw under the leadership of the Regional Finance Director, and will be responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the accounting processes and activities for the region, including internal controls, management reporting, statutory accounts and audits, tax filings.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Supervise the full bookkeeping of the branches/entities in the region
• Manage the accounting teams in two locations
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing, ensuring books are closed in good quality and meeting deadlines
• Ensure proper and timely monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
• Develop and maintain internal controls
• Responsible for preparation of statutory annual financial statements (in-house or by external accounting firms)
• Work with internal and external auditors
• Responsible for all tax filings and reporting (in-house or by external accounting firms)
• Managing projects to implement solutions required for any new tax compliance requirements
• Promote accounting excellence, create and maintain local policies and drive consistency across the different accounting country teams
• Identify, evaluate and bring financial process improvement and process automation
• Attract, engage and develop talent; assess and ensure the right people are in the right roles
• Setting clear goals and holding team accountable for executing against those goals

What Makes You a Great Fit:

•  3-5 years' experience leading accounting teams ideally in large multinationals
• Prior experience as an auditor will be an asset
• Certified Accountant qualification is highly desired
• Fluency in English and Polish, both verbal and written
• Expert in data analysis and visualization, with expertise in analytics tools like Excel and Power BI
