Engineer (Platform)

We're looking for a Engineer to join our Web Platform team — a critical part of our Platform Stream. The Stream builds the core systems every product team depends on.

Our Web Platform team provides a unified set of services that power product delivery across the company:

Full-stack product solutions for authentication and authorization, audit logging, analytics, user and file management

Developer tools such as feature toggle, and tools to work with them (SDK, CLI, CI/CD integrations, testing utils)

JS/TS platform libraries for observability (logging, metrics, health), synchronous and event-driven communication, and middlewares for platform solutions like authentication and audit logging

DevOps: managing and improving and Front-end CI/CD pipelines and operational efficiency

Front-end foundations: Unit design system with flexible in-house components and widgets

A reliable multi-channel notification platform that orchestrates merchant onboarding, document workflows, and approval processes across the organization will be in your hands. You'll architect and evolve the infrastructure that powers these systems — designing for resilience, observability, and performance at scale.

You'll also drive architectural decisions around authentication/authorization patterns, platform SDK design, event-driven messaging, and observability infrastructure — while building developer experience tooling that accelerates delivery across engineering teams.

Full-stack? Great. You're welcome to apply. Just know this role is 80% backend, so most of your time will be building, scaling, and owning platform services.

— Services that supercharge our web products — think file manager, PDF generator, messaging, and notifications.

— Making rock-solid solutions from day one with Shift-Left testing — unit, integration, and end-to-end.

You know your way under the hood:

— & TypeScript — You understand async/await, streams, module resolution (CJS/ESM), and the nuances of TypeScript's type system.
— Systems & Databases — You've built products and tools for other engineers, handled large, complex (enterprise-scale) systems, and worked with high-volume SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
— Architecture & Design — You're fluent in microservices, OOP/OOD principles, and SOLID/GRASP patterns.
— Testing — You write reliable unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (e.g. Jest, Vitest, Cypress/Playwright, or similar).
— Complex Systems — You can navigate, debug, and optimize large-scale, high-impact systems without breaking a sweat.

The Points That Make You Stand Out:
— Experience with APIs & cloud services: gRPC/tRPC, REST, Docker, AWS, AWS Fargate.
— Familiarity with queues and streams: RabbitMQ/SQS/Kafka/ NATS.
— Solid understanding of DevOps and platform tooling: CI/CD, GitHub Actions, GitLab pipelines.
— Exposure to observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus.
— Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks: React, Vue, Angular, or similar.
— A track record of open source contributions.
