Role overview

As Finance Controller you will be responsible for a team of 5 senior accountants, overlooking 5 legal entities (commercial, holdings and manufacturing). With commercial activities in more than 40 countries in Western Europe and ECEMEA.

What you'll do

• Support development of and provide strong leadership to Controlling team, leading a team of five senior accountants.
• Oversee US GAAP, statutory and tax accounting and reporting for six legal entities in scope; ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the reporting.
• Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
• Work closely with Business Service Centres and Service Delivery partners in execution of end to end finance processes.
• Maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders: business finance, planning and reporting, operations and decision support management among others.
• Act as a reference point for all complex accounting and tax issues.
• Support local, regional and global projects, as required; provide financial expertise in such projects.
• Be an activate advocate of finance function.
• Maintain focus on continuous process improvement.

What you'll bring

• A person with knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAPs for the countries in scope, and a tax matters expert (US GAAP knowledge would be an asset).
• Ability to quickly understand and have overview of processes and business needs providing support to upper management as well as being able to get into the details when needed
• Inspiring Leader with excellent communication skills, diplomatic, flexible and agile to move quickly on a very dynamic environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English, German considered as a strong plus.

​Education and experience

• Accounting Controlling Expert with 8 years of professional experience.
• Proven experience in a regional role and external audits.
• Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or a qualified ACCA/CIMA is required.
