The position

Would you like to be a manager of a Legal GBS team? Looking for a new challenge in Data Protection services? If you are a diligent DP expert and good communicator, always looking for new challenges ahead and if you appreciate agile working methods, then our Data Protection Team is your place to be

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Active participation in new deployments in the area of data protection
  • Managing team of 6 people
  • Data Processing Agreements advice - advising business partners on legal questions related to DPAs based on defined playbooks and risk parameters and defined SLAs
  • Personal Data Processing Register - reviews proceedings initiated by the Functions in order to determine the legal basis of the processing, to identify potential data protection risks and to advise the Functions
  • Legal Systems Advice advising and training business partners on legal system usage
  • Cross functional collaboration with different Boehringer Ingelheim stakeholders and different countries
  • Ensuring proper matter intake and tracking through provided intake systems.
About our future employee

You should speak very good English language (C1 level) and be open for learning. Experience with Data Protection, including the review, redlining and negotiation of DPAs as well as working with DP registers, preferably in the Legal Shared Service Structures, or in-house law departments/law firms is a must.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Master's degree in Law, Compliance, Business Administration or similar area;
  • Min. 2 years of experience in leading people with a proven track record;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data protection area;
  • Strong business partnering skills;
  • Experience in transition projects;
  • Ability to prioritize and to effectively execute multiple tasks.
