Software Engineer with Python

Softeta is an IT solutions provider based in Vilnius, Lithuania. With over 100 professionals located across Lithuania and Poland, we support companies in overcoming complex IT challenges through tailor-made software development and data-driven solutions. Softeta is looking for a Software Engineer with Python to become a part of our vibrant team and will be work for our client from insurance sector.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using Litestar to support chatbot and workflow features
- Integrate and manage Gemini API calls for natural-language understanding, document analysis, summarization, and agent-specific reasoning
- Build a clean, responsive chat-style UI using SvelteKit with streaming responses and message rendering similar to ChatGPT
- Implement UI components for message history, file uploads, policy lookups, and agent workflows
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience
- Strong experience with Python web frameworks — ideally Litestar
- Strong familiarity with SvelteKit or modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or willingness to learn Svelte)
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Collaborative mindset with a problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
