About onCourse

onCourse delivers immersive online sales demonstrations and training experiences to customers globally. Our team builds and maintains the technical platforms that power these experiences. As we expand to support Rockwell's growing portfolio—including hardware, traditional software, and SaaS offerings—we're seeking a Software Architect to lead the evolution of our application and infrastructure.

Role Overview

As the onCourse Software Architect, you will shape the future of our software infrastructure and strategy. You'll design scalable, modern solutions that empower Rockwell's Global Sales and Marketing (GSM) teams and external partners to showcase and sell our offerings effectively.

This role requires strong software engineering expertise, especially in cloud technologies and Agile methodologies. You'll collaborate with global teams and operate with a high degree of autonomy.

You will work with a global team and require minimal travel.

You will report to Global Technical Manager onCourse.

• Define long-term architectural strategies aligned with business goals.
• Evaluate technology options and provide recommendations on features and performance.
• Design, implement, and document modern software architectures.
• Lead backlog prioritization and sprint planning with the global program manager.
• Collaborate with teams across Cloud, IT, PRM/CRM, and Product Development.
• Translate requirements into actionable user stories and tasks.
• Guide developers through execution, code reviews, and daily scrums.
• Mentor team members to grow their technical capabilities.
• Lead CI/CD processes for releases and deployments.
• Support escalated issues in the onCourse production environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in product/application architectural design.
• 6+ years of experience in product/application development in Enterprise Software, Industrial Automation, or IT.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across teams.
• Expertise in cloud platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft technologies: SQL Server, Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines), GitHub Enterprise, Azure Functions, SharePoint, MS Teams.
• Solid understanding of networks and APIs.
• Programming experience in C# and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as .NET, Angular, TypeSpec

• Experience with Rockwell software or hardware products.
• Familiarity with Rockwell's demos and training materials.
• Intermediate knowledge of IT infrastructure: switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls.
