For our client, we are currently looking for an experienced Operational Excellence Coordinator – Steel Plant. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of steel production processes, strong analytical and leadership skills, and experience in applying PMO methodologies to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvement projects across the steel plant, focusing on productivity, energy efficiency, yield, and cost reduction.
  • Benchmark with other mills to identify performance gaps and best practices.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to solve chronic issues in processes and equipment.
  • Drive standardization of best practices in collaboration with operations, maintenance, quality, and sales departments.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor benefit realization, and ensure progress is visible and measurable.
  • Support digitalization and automation projects to improve data visibility and process control.
  • Promote a culture of safety and operational discipline through structured problem-solving and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of operator training and skills standardization programs.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align continuous improvement goals with business strategy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in steel production or a heavy manufacturing environment, with a focus on BOF, EAF, or casting processes.
  • Master's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refractory Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a solid technological foundation.
  • Hands-on experience with project management methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with PMO frameworks (G0-G5) is a strong advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
  • Fluent in both Polish and English (mandatory).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels, from the shop floor to top management.
