We are partnering with a well-established international financial institution to recruit a Poland Technology Lead for their strategic operations in Warsaw. The organization is known for its resilience, innovation, and commitment to operational excellence. Their Warsaw hub plays a vital role in supporting global functions and fosters a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous development.

  • This is a hands-on, player-coach position..
  • Recent experience in programming or coding is required – you will work alongside your team and help grow their capabilities.
  • You will build and develop a high-performing technology team, mentor them, and scale the function to support Poland's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the local technology roadmap in alignment with global objectives.
  • Drive adoption of modern technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Oversee delivery of technology services across trading, settlement, risk, and investment banking operations.
  • Lead operational optimization initiatives, including automation and digitization.
  • Establish KPIs to measure efficiency and effectiveness of offshore services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of engineers, analysts, and optimization specialists.
  • Act as a local ambassador for the Warsaw site, supporting branding efforts and industry engagement.
  • Collaborate with global leadership to ensure alignment and consistency across locations.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience leading technology teams 
  • Proven success in leading offshore or nearshore technology teams.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets systems and trading platforms.
  • Expertise in process optimization, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Polish language skills are a plus.
