Medical Affairs & Pharmacovigilance Manager

Mission

To provide strategic and operational Medical Affairs leadership with oversight of Pharmacovigilance (PV) activities across the region, ensuring full compliance with EU and local regulatory requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity, patient safety, and ethical medical practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the Medical Affairs strategy across Poland and selected regional markets.
  • Ensure all medical and promotional materials, activities, and communications comply with applicable legislation, internal SOPs, and local codes of practice.
  • Oversee internal processes to guarantee ethical, accurate, and evidence-based scientific communication.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and patient organizations.
  • Organize and actively participate in scientific events, including expert meetings, congresses, and conferences.
  • Conduct medical literature reviews, congress follow-ups, and ensure alignment with Global Medical strategies.
  • Deliver scientific and medical training for Sales, Marketing, and external partners.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a medical expert and trusted partner for cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee local and regional PV activities in close collaboration with the Global PV team and external PV service providers.
  • Ensure timely collection, reporting, follow-up, and documentation of adverse events.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Global functions on product safety matters.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum
    5 years of experience in Medical Affairs
    (Medical Advisor / Senior Medical Advisor / Medical Affairs Manager).
  • Openness to expanding PV responsibilities if current exposure is limited.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, medical governance, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic, international environment.
