We're looking for Senior (Big) Data Engineer to join our data platform initiatives. The role requires a professional who is fluent in Polish and located in Poland. You will contribute to the development and operation of high-volume, low-latency data processing pipelines, focusing on building and maintaining large-scale batch and streaming systems that handle substantial volumes of event data.

This is you

  • 6-8 years of hands on experience in Data Engineering

  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and willingness to work in a GCP-based environment; prior GCP experience is a plus.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark in production environments, with Python/PySpark being sufficient, and practical experience in streaming or event-driven data processing using technologies such as Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, AWS Kinesis, or Azure Event Hubs.

  • Solid SQL skills, including data transformations, analytical querying, and performance optimization.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Previous experience in a Big Data Engineer role

  • Background in JVM-based data processing (Scala, Java, Kotlin)

  • Familiarity with data lake or lakehouse architectures

  • Experience with monitoring and data quality checks

  • Exposure to high-throughput event processing systems

  • Experience with CI/CD or Infrastructure-as-Code

This is your role

Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines, including developing and optimizing Apache Spark jobs using PySpark. The role involves working with streaming and event-driven platforms, processing and analyzing large datasets with SQL, and improving the performance, reliability, and observability of data pipelines. Collaboration with analytics, platform, and product teams is expected, along with participation in technical and architectural decisions and end-to-end ownership of data solutions from design through production.
