We are seeking an
AWS Database Migration Engineer
to join a central cloud migration team supporting a large-scale transformation of enterprise applications to
AWS
. The role focuses on
migrating databases from MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres and Cosmos DB into Amazon RDS Postgres
, using automated AWS migration tooling.

Location:
Warsaw, Poland

Hybrid:
Minimum
2 days/week on-site

You will work in a fully
Agile environment
, collaborating closely with cloud platform teams, application architects, security teams, and delivery organizations to ensure secure, scalable, and standardized migrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support
    database migrations to RDS Postgres
  • Perform transformations from
    MS SQL / Oracle to Postgres
  • Use
    AWS DMS, SCT and DataSync
    for migration and orchestration
  • Support teams with
    query refactoring and schema restructuring
  • Implement
    production monitoring, alerting and performance optimization
  • Ensure
    security, compliance and cost-efficient cloud usage
  • Work closely with
    cloud, architecture and security stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with
    database transformation (MSSQL/Oracle → Postgres)
  • Hands-on expertise in
    Postgres, MSSQL and Oracle
  • Strong experience with
    AWS migration tools (DMS, SCT, DataSync)
  • AWS services:
    RDS, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM
  • Experience with
    GitHub Actions for automated DB deployments
  • Strong understanding of
    performance, security and cost optimization

Nice to Have

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional)
  • Azure to AWS migration experience
  • Knowledge of
    serverless, networking, and cloud security
