Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of experience in backend developmentProficiency in Java and Spring BootExperience with PostgreSQL and designing scalable, robust systemsExpertise in cloud technologies, especially AWSKnowledge of distributed and financial systems, with a focus on proactive issue preventionAbility to manage projects independently from end to endLeadership experience and a track record of fostering positive engineering culturesStrong communication and collaboration skills across teams and domainsFluency in spoken and written English

Main responsibilities:

Working on problem spaces critical to Klarna's business, with flexibility to change teams as neededDesigning, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java and Spring BootBuilding scalable and reliable systems deployed in AWSParticipating in the full project lifecycle — from concept to deployment and maintenanceCollaborating with cross-functional teams to align on integration and architecturePromoting engineering best practices with a focus on innovation and qualityIdentifying and addressing issues in distributed and financial systemsContributing within small, autonomous teams with fast release cycles
