As a leading food-tech business, Kitopi's growth has been largely fueled by its innovative and scalable software solutions. Kitopi's kitchens are powered by its proprietary Smart Kitchen Operating System (SKOS) - an in-house suite of applications that optimizes cloud kitchen operations in the real-time. As part of its growth roadmap, technological innovation, data science, artificial intelligence, and robotics will take center stage as Kitopi continues to reinvent the food industry as we know it today.

At Kitopi, we collaborate closely with business and product stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Our data organization is structured around data verticals that focus on specific business domains, as well as data horizontals that specialize in different practices. Data engineering is one of these practices, and as a data engineer, you will work alongside other data engineers and cross-functional teams, including analysts, ML engineers, BI specialists, data modelers, platform engineers, and backend engineers.

What you'll work on:

• Developing and maintaining backend modules in Java, including business logic implementation.
• Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Participating in code reviews and adopting best programming practices.
• Collaborating with the team on requirements analysis and solution design.
• Working on projects using Spring/Spring Boot and integrating with databases.
• Troubleshooting technical issues, debugging, and supporting application maintenance.
• Learning to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and participating in team meetings.

About you:

• 1–2 years of experience
  in
  Java development
  or similar backend projects.
• Knowledge of
  Java
  and basic
  OOP principles
  .
• Motivation
  to l
  earn and grow
  in a project-based environment.
• Teamwork
  and communication skills.
• Familiarity with frameworks like
  Spring
  ,
  relational databases
  (PostgreSQL), and
  development tools
  (Git, Maven) would be beneficial.
• Interest in
  AI-supported development
  ; experience with tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor is a plus.
• English and Polish
  languages proficiency at a minimum
  B2 level
  .
