established soon after the announcement of Ethereum and the birth of the idea of a
Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). As the creator of Dai, Sky has established
itself as one of the most prominent DeFi protocols. Dai itself is the first widely adopted
decentralized, collateral-backed stablecoin.

Sky embodies core crypto principles like openness, decentralization, and transparent
governance while pursuing real-world impact and ambitious goals. Its decentralized stablecoin
Dai, signature governance solutions, and pioneering focus on real-world assets (RWAs) have
been central to its success. Today, Sky is a 10 billion USD protocol driven by the plan to bring it
to the next rapid phase.

Recently, Sky entered a new chapter with the introduction of the Endgame Plan. This plan
includes upgraded versions of its tokens, including USDS (the upgraded version of Dai),
advanced governance mechanisms centered on a rule-based system known as the Atlas, and
new protocol features. Additionally, Sky has expanded its focus to encompass AI initiatives and
introduced an innovative structure of SubDAOs (Stars), such as Spark, contributing to the
broader ecosystem's growth.

As part of the Endgame Plan, new structures have emerged in the Sky Ecosystem. One is
Archon Financial, which focuses on user interactions with decentralized protocols.

About the team

Archon Financial's Legal Team comprises crypto/web3 lawyers with extensive expertise in
advising clients on how best to navigate the rapidly evolving global regulatory climate as it
pertains to digital assets and distributed ledger technology. We have been instrumental in
shaping the legal frameworks for leading DeFi projects, including MakerDAO (now Sky), Aave,
Chiliz, and numerous others. With our blended understanding of the law and innovative
technology, we are able to engage with the Sky community and ecosystem on a deep level
with a thorough understanding of its inner mechanisms.

About the role

We seek an experienced Senior Counsel to join our legal team at Archon Financial. As a critical
team member, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal guidance on a wide range of
regulatory, corporate, contract, and intellectual property matters. This includes navigating
complex regulatory challenges, corporate structuring, and governance across the broader
ecosystem. This role requires a proactive, highly organized individual capable of managing
multifaceted projects across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities - what you'll be doing in this role

- Provide expert counsel on complex multi-jurisdictional corporate and regulatory
matters while negotiating business and strategic requirements and agreements.
- Advise product teams on regulatory compliance matters concerning DeFi and AI.

Conduct regulatory research and advise the business on the most appropriate

implications of such regulations to each of our business lines.

- Structure Archon Financial's business and relationships with partners from both
corporate and contractual perspectives.

- Monitor, assess, and advise the business on legal and regulatory issues that impact
product development.

- Continuously evaluate operational risks and legal requirements to ensure outstanding
support as Archon Financial and Skybase's businesses continue to grow.
- Advise on and structure complex commercial crypto transactions involving crypto.
- Manage relationships with external local counsels across a range of jurisdictions to
secure clear, actionable input in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Work effectively across business units and product-related functions to resolve
complex business and risk issues.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the Sky Ecosystem who cooperate with
Archon Financial or impact our projects.
- Other legal projects: depending on skills, preferences, and company needs, you can get
involved in a wide range of legal topics, including RWAs, intellectual property,
employment, corporate projects, and other in-house legal projects

This role requires a proactive, highly organized individual capable of managing multifaceted

- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree and active bar admission.

-  Minimum 7 years of working experience as a Legal Counsel, ideally within the web3
sector.

- Proven ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional legal frameworks.

- Fluency with crypto-asset regulations.

- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in legal drafting and analysis.

- Ability to navigate complex governance structures.

- Strong organizational abilities with a track record of managing complex client matters.

- Sharp analytical skills and a demonstrated problem-solving aptitude.

- High level of self-discipline and the capacity to thrive in a remote work environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to knowledge-sharing and team success.

Nice to haves:
- Bar admission in the U.S.;
- Technical and financial understanding of DeFi protocols;
- Understanding of the legal and technical aspects of AI;
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment, managing evolving priorities
and dynamic environments;

- Previous tenure at a reputable law firm or in a highly regarded in-house legal
department.
