Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity processes in compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 across system development activities.
  • Perform cybersecurity risk assessments, including TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment).
  • Support system architecture design with a focus on cybersecurity requirements and controls.
  • Define and document cybersecurity goals, requirements, and system-level mitigations.
  • Review solutions from third-party vendors and provide approval.
  • Support product cybersecurity teams to ensure a safe launch, providing guidance and working hand-in-hand with security, software, testing, and manufacturing engineers on architecture, design, implementation, and verification for security tasks related to key and certificate management.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle, including concept, development, validation, and maintenance phases.
  • Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Support suppliers with technical design reviews on cybersecurity aspects.
  • Support testing activities to confirm compliance with cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer, preferably in the automotive or embedded systems domain.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations/standards such as ISO 21434; UN R155/156.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles (e.g., system architecture, requirements engineering).
  • Strong knowledge of system development and handling of cryptographic material.
  • Familiarity with secure development practices and security-by-design concepts.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic mechanisms and secure boot concepts.
