Role overview:

As a Senior Engineer DevOps within our engineering team, you will be at the forefront of building and optimizing our cloud-native data and application platforms. You will lead the design, implementation, and automation of robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and scalable cloud solutions focusing on Data & AI. This role requires deep expertise in Azure, Python, Databricks, FastAPI and Azure AI services as well as a passion for driving operational excellence and mentoring others. You will play a key part in ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and efficient, enabling rapid delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure, leveraging best practices in automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for seamless deployment of Python and FastAPI-based applications and data workflows.
  • Develop and manage Databricks environments, automating cluster provisioning, job orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes for the AI based applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, including monitoring, logging, security, and cost optimization.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Liaise with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

    • 4 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Deep expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services (e.g., Azure Databricks, App Service, AI Search, Storage)
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-305) will be a strong plus
  • Proficiency in GitHub version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Solid experience in Python programming
  • Familiarity with observability tools and API integrations
  • Curiosity-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL
  • Proven ability to innovate and automate new technologies and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent English and Polish

Preferred:

  • Good understanding of containerisation: Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform
  • Experience with cloud security and data engineering workflows
  • Proficiency in Terraform or Bicep
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
