Department Overview: Pre-Assembly & Installation
End-to-end pre-assembly and installation services, including mechanical and electrical installation, quality inspections, and operational support. Focused on optimising turbine assembly, ensuring safety, efficiency, and seamless execution to enhance project performance and minimise downtime.

Role Overview
The Technician Resource Manager is responsible for managing the overall allocation and deployment of technicians within the Pre-Assembly and Installation discipline. This includes effective planning and forecasting of future needs and driving operational excellence across the business. The Technician Resource Manager plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the technical discipline and collaborates closely with stakeholders across departments.

Principal Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership

  • Contribute to the strategic development of Pre-Assembly & Installation, ensuring alignment with organisational growth objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on resource planning and technician development strategies.

Resource Management

  • Oversee, plan, and allocate mobilisation of technicians on projects.
  • Establish project details and resource requirements in systems.
  • Conduct cost-efficient master capacity and operational planning of resources based on demand, technical specifications, and close stakeholder interaction.
  • Build load/capacity plans and identify gaps based on forecasted needs and technician utilisation, including demobilisation planning.
  • Maintain a full overview of planning activities, highlighting risks, opportunities, and financial impacts.

Sourcing and Recruitment

  • Collaborate closely with the Sourcing team to manage recruitment pipelines and ensure timely onboarding of technicians.
  • Support strategies to recruit and manage talent across regions, promoting a diverse and localised workforce.

Technician HR

  • Support, develop, and motivate the Technician HR team in daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure technician records are accurate and compliant within HR systems, including mandatory certifications and documentation.

Cross-functioncal Collaboration

  • Lead collaboration between key departments to ensure resource planning aligns with operational and commercial goals.
  • Enhance transparency and efficiency across Sourcing, Technician HR, and Operations

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant commercial, technical, or academic discipline.
  • Extensive experience in manpower/resource planning, preferably within wind, aviation, or shipping industries.
  • Proven leadership experience in team management and operational performance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with planning software.
  • Knowledge of Primavera is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial parameters and decision-making based on cost impact.
  • Fluent in English.
