Assigned to General Accounting and Period End Close processes to support the completion of a future-fit end-to-end process design, enabled by core and edge systems. This role brings operational knowledge to ensure the Global Template is holistic and accommodates the diversity of Mars' customer needs.
What would be your key responsibilities?
Global Template Design

  • Contribute to the preparation of the Design Questionnaires In the different phases of the project.
  • Use Mars or CPG Industry knowledge and/or network to identify key business scenarios.
  • Actively contribute to the development period end close process design and support the relevant deep dive session(s) within the business based on previous experience.
  • Contribution to refining of key design decisions of the shared Template.
  • Validate change impact assessment and partner with Training Lead to ensure the needs for relevant process is created and validated for deployment in each region.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Proof of Concept(s) in selected areas as required.
  • Support process documentation to ensure alignment with design and quality/completeness.
  • Execute initial functional test of global template for sub-process, Including SIT and UAT prior Go live.
  • Validates status of Key processes of General Accounting, Including Period End Close across regions and identify key deviations for future Migration and House Keeping phase.

Tax Legal Statutory

  • Use knowledge of region / segment(s) to ensure quality and completeness of Tax Legal Statutory assessment to refine the design and process documentation.

Country Validation

  • Actively contribute to the country validation preparation, execution and sign off to ensure that the global template meets relevant region/segment needs.
  • Ensure process documentation, relevant key design decisions and change impact assessment are kept in alignment with outputs of country validation.

Project Management

  • Understand the activity plan and ensure deliverables are to time, quality and budget.
  • Highlight blockages/issues in a timely manner, escalating for support where required.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree In Accounting or Finance.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Finance roles (e.g. Chartered Accountant/ CPA equivalent).
  • Experience in S4 HANA Implementations.
  • Professional experience in Shared Services and Multi Legal Entities environment is an advantage.
  • Working experience in Signavio, Blackline, Power BI Blackline is nice to have.
  • Fluent English
