Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic professional to join our fraud risk team as a Identity & Fraud Prevention Specialist. This role is central to evaluating identity fraud threats and shaping the effectiveness of fraud mitigation strategies across the organization.

You will work at the intersection of data analytics, financial modeling, and vendor performance management—supporting initiatives that reduce fraud losses, optimize operational costs, and enhance customer trust. This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys translating data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze fraud patterns across First Party, Third Party, Account Takeover, and Account Origination scenarios
  • Develop cost-benefit models to assess fraud mitigation tools and strategies
  • Lead post-implementation reviews to validate financial and operational performance of fraud controls
  • Collaborate with vendor management teams to evaluate contracts, reconcile invoices, and forecast budget impacts
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Support model risk governance and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards
  • Use advanced data tools (SAS, SQL, Python, R) to conduct ad hoc analysis and synthesize insights from multiple sources

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in fraud risk, financial crime, or data-driven strategy roles
  • Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (SAS, SQL, Python, R preferred)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Required: SAS, SQL; Preferred: Python, R)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in banking or financial services
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention infrastructure and regulatory frameworks
  • Exposure to vendor governance and contract evaluation processes

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week (14:00-22:00) and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
