Job Description
Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Expert Rendering Engineer to join the development of a new IP.Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly-skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertainingAs a member of the Engineering department, you'll be optimizing, enhancing, and developing new rendering systems and developing the graphics systems for our shipping products as well as improving the workflows of our development teamYou'll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.
You'll help us by…

  • Develop, modify, optimize, and debug rendering engine systems
  • Deploy, evaluate performance, and test software on all supported platforms
  • Communicate features and development with production, engineering, design, and art teams
  • Participate in the performance and code review process
  • Collaboration and co-development with other engineering and art teams
  • Report to the Lead Graphics Engineer

You're awesome because you have…

  • 7+ years of experience working in the game industry or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or Math related field
  • Understanding of computer architecture, GPUs, and memory systems
  • Strong programming background in C/C++
  • Experience writing shaders (HLSL or equivalent)
  • Development experience with a current generation platform (console, PC, and/or mobile)
  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, readable, and reliable code
  • The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team
  • Creativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude
  • Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines
  • Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback

Bonus points for…

  • Shipped at least one game title
  • Demonstrated work with modern consoles, profilers and toolchains
  • Experience with PS4 GNM, Direct3D 12 and/or Vulkan APIs
  • Familiarity with physically based rendering/lighting
  • Background in collaborating and iterating with artists on graphics features
  • Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
